American manufacturer Chrysler knows a thing or two about minivans. Indeed, until recently the automaker offered the Chrysler Town & Country while its sister company, Dodge, has been offering the almost legendary Dodge Grand Caravan for a long time.

Not bad at all for a vehicle powered by an engine developing 287 horsepower.

The efficiency of the new Chrysler Pacifica is partly due to the fact that the engine is connected to the wheels through an advanced nine-speed automatic transmission. This gearbox also allows for better performance and increased comfort as the gears change fluidly and quickly.
